We Love because HE first LOVED us.
God’s Valentine Gift
God’s Valentine gift of love to us
Was not a bunch of flowers;
It wasn’t candy, or a book
To while away the hours.
His gift was to become a man,
So He could freely give
His sacrificial love for us,
So you and I could live.
He gave us sweet salvation, and
Instruction, good and true--
To love our friends and enemies
And love our Savior, too.
So as we give our Valentines,
Let’s thank our Lord and King;
The reason we have love to give
Is that He gave everything.
This year our family received one of the most precious early Valentine's Day gift ever....Baby Sullivan. He wasn't due to arrive until March 2...but came on February 5. In the hospital, Zach even said "I guess we'll be spending Valentine's Day at home this year." I'm telling you, I wouldn't have it any other way. Zach and I were able to sneak off to dinner last night (13th)...my wonderful Aunt Jana and Grandmother offered to keep the boys for us. I was hesitant at first but knew it would be good for us. We went to O'Charley's and after that, Walmart! Such a romantic night :) Seriously, after that, I was so ready to get home to my babies.
Anyway, I am so blessed to have the most wonderful husband in the entire world. I know he loves me so much. He is also the most awesome daddy in the entire world. I have just been blown away (once again) at how loving and caring this man is. Over the past week he has shown me more love in more ways that I can count. He has taken such good care of me, Hudson, and Sullivan. He makes sure I don't over-do things myself so my body can heal from delivery, changes diapers and clothes, wakes in the middle of the night to feed Sullivan, completely took care of Hudson's baths and clothing changes (since I wasn't supposed to be lifting heavy things), and even gave Sullivan his first and second bath. I just watched in awe of him doing all of these things and more times than I want to say, I cried behind closed doors...all because I love him so much (that and I'm just a tiny bit emotional right now). I LOVE my husband so very much. My boys are the other loves of my life. I am blessed beyond measure to have them in my life. They bring me so much joy and happiness. Oh, and Hudson is finally asking for me to hold him, kiss him, and hug him. It may be a little bit of jealousy on his part, but I'll take it. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!

My Sweet Valentine
Hudson picked out the monkey for Baby Sully...he put it beside him in his bassinet...it looks like Sullivan likes it :)
